Stacie Juten
Studio Director and Owner

Stacie began dance as a preschooler under the direction of Joyce Torvund. By age 12 Stacie was demonstrating for Joyce and started assistant teaching in high school. She continued to study dance and attended many dance camps, workshops, and conventions during her high school and college years.

Stacie earned a BAS in Elementary Education and a Physical Education Minor with a Dance Emphasis from the University of Minnesota - Duluth in 1985. In 1986 Stacie Married her husband Gary Juten and moved to Gillette, Wyoming. Stacie did some long term substitute teaching in the elementary school system but really missed dancing. When a position came up to fill in for a studio owner/director who was on maternity leave, Stacie jumped at the opportunity to teach and direct her studio for the season.

After starting a family Stacie and Gary moved back to Duluth. Stacie returned to Joyce Torvund’s studio and worked as an instructor and assistant director from 1989 until Joyce retired in 2000. After Joyce retired, Stacie bought the studio and took over as director and owner of Stacie Juten’s Duluth Dance Center.
